B Lab France is an association law 1901. Its role:
- Animate and amplify the voice of the B Corp community in France;
- Encourage companies to discover the movement and encourage them to take action through the BIA impact measurement tool;
- Inspire civil society actors and decision makers and foster synergies.
This certification aims to transform the economy by proving that it is possible for a company to make a positive contribution to society and the environment (one of B Corp’s slogans is “using business as a force for good”).
He tries to demonstrate, through the achievements of his community, that it is possible to reconcile profit and collective interest.
Nearly 200 companies are currently B Corp certified in France. They come from the entire economic fabric (ESS, SCOP, TPE, SMEs, midcaps, CAC 40 and French subsidiaries of foreign groups). This community, present in France since 2015, is very active and growing.
