Roles and missions of the QSE Manager
The main role of the QSE (Quality, Safety and Environment) Manager is to guarantee and promote quality, respect for the environment and safety within the company. He/she is responsible for ensuring that current regulations and best practices are applied, and for monitoring compliance with them. To this end, he/she has several missions:
Define and implement a quality, safety and environmental management system that complies with current standards and regulations.
Ensure compliance with the rules and procedures defined for quality, safety and the environment.
Carry out audits and controls to verify compliance with regulations and requirements.
Analyze risks and define corrective actions.
Draw up training and information plans for all employees.
Monitor the performance of procedures and systems in place.
Assess customer and employee satisfaction levels.
Monitor procedures and related decisions.
Ensure that the resources and structures needed to improve quality, safety and the environment are in place.
The QSE Manager is also responsible for ensuring that information and processes relating to quality, safety and the environment are properly communicated. He/she must also ensure that employees are informed and made aware of QSE best practices. Finally, he/she is responsible for implementing and developing the company's QSE policies.

The salary of a QSE Manager is the result of many factors, including region, experience and level of expertise. In France, the gross annual salary of a QSE Manager can vary according to years of experience:
0 to 2 years: between 45,000 and 65,000 euros
2 to 5 years: between 55,000 and 70,000 euros
5 to 10 years: between 65,000 and 85,000 euros
10 to 15 years: between 75,000 and 95,000 euros
Over 15 years: between 85,000 and 110,000 euros
