Roles and missions of the HSE Project Manager / HSE Project Officer

The role and missions of the HSE Project Manager are many and varied. He/she is responsible for ensuring the company's health, safety and environmental quality. More specifically, he/she must :

Provide advice and technical assistance in occupational health and safety matters.

Develop, update and implement HSE policies and procedures.

Assess and monitor compliance with HSE regulations.

Participate in accident investigations and the development of corrective and preventive measures.

Train staff on HSE issues.

Conduct HSE audits and inspections.

Ensure that HSE systems are regularly updated and complied with.

Manage and monitor action plans to meet HSE requirements.

Develop risk prevention and corrective action plans.

Manage waste and chemical monitoring and warning systems.

Monitor HSE regulations and ensure compliance with relevant environmental requirements.

Participate in sustainable development projects and contribute to the development of HSE plans, procedures and policies.

Participate in the identification, assessment and management of HSE risks.

Develop and implement plans and procedures to prevent and reduce risks.

Ensure the implementation and improvement of HSE programs.

Provide regular reports and presentations on the state of safety and the environment.
