CarbonFarm’s work combines remote sensing data, agricultural data and machine learning. We work closely with worldwide customers to turn complex carbon projects into reliable and valuable outcomes, while feeding what we learn back into product and engineering.
Our users range from carbon market players to smallholder farmers in the field, across clients worldwide with their own projects and requirements. Designing for both ends, and everyone in between, is at the heart of this role.
Responsibilities 🪖
We are hiring a Product Manager. Independent, curious, humble and a go-getter. One of two Product Managers, you will be responsible for building the right product. This means both discovery and delivery.
For discovery, you’ll work with the rest of the team to facilitate user storyboarding, identify and flesh out priority use cases, and define and specify new features. You won’t be alone—we have a team of 28 that will provide you with a rich source of information and insights—but we’ll need you to lead the process, ask the right questions, and ultimately ensure that we focus our product-building energy on the highest-value tasks.
Then comes delivery. Our tech team works in Scrum mode, and they’ll need your help setting out a roadmap. Part of this is planning: working with the team to understand the relative complexity of different features, putting together product mockups, and defining milestones. Part of this is quality assurance, validating the usability of new features. Part of this is communicating about new features as they are delivered.
In the short term, you’ll be looking for pain points to improve. Over the long term, you’ll become an end-to-end rice carbon project development Jedi. Our market is complicated and full of subtleties. As we build up a product team and scale, this early experience will prove invaluable.
