Subject: I am applying for the internship of low carbon agriculture project manager.

As a first year student in agronomy school and aware of the environmental impact of the agricultural sector, I would like to take part in the management of a low-carbon project in this field.

My training in agronomy school brought me a good knowledge of the agricultural world. Fascinated by agroecology, I make in parallel of my studies visits on site to understand the mechanisms and stakes of these new models. My ability to take initiatives like this one and to create relationships will be assets to build new partnerships of trust and to help your customers to understand the levers of agroecology.

By joining your company for an internship, I also want to learn from your experts in low-carbon strategy to develop my skills in this area and direct my professional project towards supporting agricultural transitions.

My best regards.

Subject: application for work experience as a life assistant

I chose to study in the health sector to take care of disabled people so that they feel integrated in our society. I can therefore totally identify with the way your structure works, which, in addition to care, offers to live under the same roof, with a shared governance model.

My training has allowed me to develop technical skills to provide the necessary care to disabled people. My main assets for this job are my listening skills and my openness, which allowed me to detect problems not expressed by several patients during previous internships in ESAT. I also know how to show a great versatility in my missions, an asset to manage the different tasks involved in living in a home;

Shared living in a household is a great way to integrate people with disabilities. I would like to join your day care section to live this experience with your residents.

Please accept, Madam, Sir, the expression of my respectful greetings.

Subject: application for the position of recruitment officer

After two internships in a recruitment agency and a work-study period as an internal recruiter in an association, it is definitely the internal process that I would like to move towards because it allows me to have a better understanding of the needs and to follow the evolution of the employees once they are hired. I would like to continue in the associative field and I would like to join XXX as a recruitment officer;

During my two previous internships, I learned to work with two different ATS for the writing, the diffusion of offers and the management of the various applications. So I could easily adapt to your tools. At XXX, we spend time to discuss internally about our recruitment needs and give importance to soft skills. These are criteria that I could focus on for your future recruitment.

Participating in the development of partnerships with schools to create relevant talent pools, as well as participating in the internal mobility of employees, are missions that I have not yet grasped and on which I would like to evolve.

We look forward to hearing from you.

Subject: application for the position of web developer

With 5 years of professional experience in scientific research, I wanted to change my career path by reorienting myself towards web development to create software for the scientific sector. Looking for a first full time job, the mission of your company has naturally caught my attention.

I followed the XXX training for 2 years, including 1 year in parallel with my job. What a great coincidence to come across your company specialized in hospital monitoring software for leukemia patients. I have indeed studied this pathology in my research. This would be a way for me to bridge the gap between my previous experience and the new one. My previous job would also allow me to collaborate easily with your research partners and to understand their issues.

I still have to learn about my job as a fullstack developer and your junior position seems to fit my young experience, alongside a caring team. I am agile and I am keen to develop new skills and languages to improve myself.

My greetings.

Subject: spontaneous application for a consultant position

After 3 years of experience in the consulting firm XXX in project management and customer relationship management, I would like to use my talents in a firm specialized in the ecological transition of companies. The reduction of plastics is an interesting angle of attack and I would like to join you to contribute to it.

Having worked for two tourism professionals and several agri-food organizations, the targets you address in order to limit their plastic footprint speak to me. My main strengths for this position are the realization of rigorous diagnoses and my ability to synthesize during client meetings and the preparation of reports. What speaks to me less is your system of governance and collaborative decision-making, having evolved in a very hierarchical system. However, I like the way it works and I want to be part of it.

What particularly attracts me is your approach to consulting, with operational support for plastic reduction in addition to strategic consulting. I missed this operational dimension in my previous experience and I would like to develop my skills in this area.

My respectful greetings.

Some tips

We hope that these examples of cover letters have inspired you. And here are some tips to send a cover letter to the little onions!

🕵️Attention to spelling mistakes: a letter without mistakes is still nicer and more serious. And for that, you can reread your letter or have someone else read it! With word processing tools like Word or Open Office, you can also underline them!

😎🤓The tone: you can write in a more or less casual tone depending on the one used in the job offer. It is better to avoid being on familiar terms in the letter, but you can adapt your polite formulas, for example. For example, "I am at your disposal for any further information you may require and would like to express my respectful greetings" is a polite formula that corresponds to a conventional tone, whereas "my distinguished greetings" is more casual.

📄The layout: for a good cover letter, 2 or 3 paragraphs are enough to express your motivations ! Our advice for each paragraph: go straight to the point! ;)
