Location: Remote / Paris

About ZNTH

ZNTH is a Paris-rooted cultural association supporting emerging creatives through interdisciplinary events, cultural programmes, community connections and storytelling.

The opportunity

We're looking for a detail-oriented volunteer to support grant research, funding applications and the development of resources that help sustain our cultural initiatives.

You'll collaborate with our Funding & Partnerships contributors and the Founder to identify relevant opportunities and help prepare thoughtful, well-organised funding proposals.

What you'll contribute

  • Research grants, foundations and cultural funding opportunities in France and internationally.
  • Review eligibility requirements, application guidelines and deadlines.
  • Maintain a structured funding opportunities tracker.
  • Support the preparation of applications, project descriptions and supporting materials.
  • Coordinate information requests with programme, operations and communications contributors.
  • Help organise budgets, supporting evidence and reporting requirements.
  • Track submitted applications, decisions and next steps.
  • Recommend improvements to the funding research and application process.

Who we're looking for

  • Experience or strong interest in grant writing, fundraising, nonprofit development, research or proposal preparation.
  • Excellent written communication and research skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with deadlines.
  • Confidence organising complex information and collaborating across teams.
  • Interest in arts, culture, nonprofit development and creative communities.

French-language research and writing ability is particularly valuable for identifying and preparing applications to French funding bodies. English-language skills are also useful for international opportunities.

Practical details

This is an unpaid, part-time volunteer opportunity, open to remote contributors.

Please share any relevant grant-writing, research or fundraising experience, your language skills and realistic weekly availability.

Profile

We're looking for a proactive, detail-oriented and resourceful individual who can help identify funding opportunities, develop grant applications and support the long-term sustainability of ZNTH's cultural initiatives.

Ideal candidate profile:

  • Experience or strong interest in grant writing, fundraising, nonprofit development, cultural funding, philanthropy or institutional partnerships.
  • Strong research skills, with the ability to identify relevant grants, foundations, public funding programmes and other financial support opportunities.
  • Excellent written communication skills, particularly in preparing funding proposals, project descriptions and supporting documentation.
  • Ability to interpret eligibility requirements, application guidelines, budgets and reporting obligations.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage funding pipelines, application deadlines and multiple priorities.
  • Confidence coordinating with contributors across programmes, operations, communications and partnerships to gather information for applications.
  • Comfortable using Notion, Google Workspace, spreadsheets or similar tools to organise research and track progress.
  • Proactive, independent and comfortable taking ownership of funding research and application processes.
  • Genuine interest in contemporary art, culture, emerging creatives and nonprofit initiatives.
  • Reliable availability for regular remote collaboration and a willingness to contribute consistently over time.

French and English proficiency is highly valued, particularly for researching French and European funding opportunities and preparing international applications.

Previous experience coordinating fundraising projects or contributors is particularly welcome, as this volunteer may have opportunities to take ownership of grant-development workflows, coordinate priorities and contribute to the organisation of ZNTH's Funding & Partnerships department.

Prior grant-writing experience is an advantage, but candidates with strong research, writing and project coordination skills are also encouraged to apply.
