Help build the website and technical foundations of ZNTH, a Paris-based cultural nonprofit supporting emerging creatives across art, fashion, film, music and other disciplines.
We’re looking for a developer who can write frontend and backend code, connect the two, and take features through testing and deployment. You’ll work with our founder and creative team to translate the website’s visual direction and editorial needs into a functional platform.
Your responsibilities:
• Review the existing codebase and technical setup, identify gaps and recommend priorities.
• Build responsive interfaces, pages and reusable frontend components.
• Develop backend functionality, APIs and database structures.
• Connect the frontend to the backend and manage how content is stored, retrieved and updated.
• Build or integrate a content management workflow for artist profiles, articles and project pages.
• Implement authentication, permissions and form validation where required.
• Test functionality, accessibility, performance and security.
• Support deployment, troubleshoot issues and document the setup so other developers can maintain it.
Our immediate milestone is a working website with connected frontend and backend functionality and a straightforward publishing process for our editorial team.
This is an unpaid volunteer opportunity, carried out remotely. We envisage approximately 20 hours per week, agreed around your availability, with an initial three-month commitment.
