In the ‎MOOD for Climate Action is an online experiential learning programme developed by the Learning Planet Institute, a United Nations University Hub and UNESCO Category II Institute. It offers students aged 18 to 35 worldwide an immersive, certified journey aimed at helping them gain agency on climate-related issues.

The programme is built on the best practices from world reports on learning to act on world issues such as climate change. The programme combines 70 hours of self-reflection, systemic climate literacy, and hands-on project work, structured around three modules: Discover, Ideate, and Build. It includes live workshops, asynchronous content, AI-enhanced tools (including a reflexivity chatbot and a science-grounded research assistant), local teamwork and mentoring from alumni and partner experts to make this possible at scale.

In The MOOD for Climate Action has already run successful pilot cohorts with strong learner satisfaction, and is now in an active scaling phase. By the end of 2027, the programme aims to reach directly and through partnerships 15 thousand students, supported by a growing network of institutional partners.

About your position :

Within the MOOD for Climate Action team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the programme as well as the overall learner experience, ensuring smooth execution across all phases. You will manage this online programme for around 6,700 students worldwide. Among them 5,000 students will use parts of our content asynchronously. 1,700 students will go through an intense experience from 0 knowledge to finalising a local project, wherever they live, in synchronous cohorts of 300-400 students.

Your main responsibilities

Cohort Management (70%)

  • Prepare the whole course on the Learning Management System (LMS) and other digital tools for the asynchronous and synchronous cohorts: the content, scheduling, notifications, welcome messages, etc.
  • Manage the full cycle of each cohort: applications, onboarding, session scheduling, attendance tracking, issuance, offboarding, general learner experience
  • Support for instructional design
  • Manage faculty: facilitators, mentors, experts, etc.
  • Communicate information relevant to admissions, registration, general administration, etc.

Certification and compliance (15%)

  • Track completion criteria for each participant across modules
  • Send out certificates and deal with student complaints
  • Maintain documentation needed for institutional partners and funders

Mentor liaison (10%)

  • Recruit, brief, and follow mentors for Ideate and Build modules

Contribution to Scaling (5%)

  • Prepare qualitative and quantitative evaluations of each cohort, using data from various digital tools and questionnaires
  • Use evaluations to suggest actionable improvements and contribute to scale-up operations
  • Manage the climate and entrepreneurship expert network

Conditions

  • Contract: 12-month fixed-term contract / CDD (extendable)
  • Salary: €35,700 gross per year
  • Preferred start date: As soon as possible

Profile

Experience:

  • At least 3 years of professional experience in roles involving significant project management responsibilities

Technical Skills:

  • Advanced project management and operational coordination
  • Excellent level of English (C1) and French (C1)
  • Ability to organise learning content and notifications on an online platform for a good learning experience
  • Ability to coordinate within a diverse team (mentors, experts, faculty)
  • Proficiency with Learning Management Systems (LMS) such as Moodle
  • Proficiency with interactive digital learning tools such as Miro, Zoom.
  • Usage of data analysis and digital tracking tools.
  • Social entrepreneurship competencies are a plus
  • Climate-related competencies are a plus

Soft Skills:

  • Strong organisational skills and ability to anticipate risks
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Autonomy and ability to work independently
