About the Role
Hystra seeks an experienced and autonomous Project Manager (PM) to lead its consulting engagements across sectors and geographies. Working in a team with a Partner and consultant(s), the PM takes ownership of project delivery from end to end: framing the analysis, managing the team, assuring the quality of deliverables, and leading client interactions. Beyond the Hystra team, the PM coordinates subject experts, local implementation partners and serves as the focal point with ecosystem stakeholders. The role offers the opportunity to join a team of seasoned consultants and subject matter experts in a dynamic, impact-oriented environment, with a strong emphasis on strategic thinking, stakeholder engagement, and operational delivery.

- Supporting a corporate healthcare impact investment fund on its overall strategy and the management of its Technical Assistance (TA) Facility, providing pre- and post-deal support to seven ventures across Sub-Saharan Africa and South-East Asia.
- Designing and supporting a pilot to boost the commercial sales of reusable menstrual pads, in partnership with a leading social business in Africa.
- Supporting the scale up of an innovative service model to reach universal energy access in Sub-Saharan Africa, with REAL.
- Assessing how to support smallholder farmers who purchased a solar productive-use appliance (e.g., solar pumps, solar fridges) in selling their produce, leading to the publication of an open-source report.
- Supporting the Gates Foundation in engaging the private sector in large-scale food fortification as shared in this open-source report.

Key Responsibilities
- Project and engagement management
- Lead the day-to-day execution of multi-workstream engagements.
- Manage project timelines, resources, and deliverables to ensure smooth execut’ion and high-quality outputs.
- Serve as the focal point between the Hystra core team, in-country experts, and client stakeholders, ensuring alignment and momentum.
- Thought leadership and quality delivery
- Frame and drive the development of strategic analyses, frameworks, and recommendations.
- Own the quality assurance of key deliverables, including presentations, reports, learning notes, and toolkits.
- Synthesize findings across workstreams and geographies into actionable insights that go beyond what clients can find through simple research.
- Client and stakeholder leadership
- Build trust-based relationships with senior clients and act as a sparring partner who facilitates decisions.
- Prepare and facilitate co-creation workshops and steering committees with clients and ecosystem actors.
- Navigate relationships across public, private, and philanthropic stakeholders with discretion and professionalism.
- Business development and firm-building
- Draft and develop project proposals to support the growth of the firm.
- Coach and develop consultants, providing structured feedback and clear success criteria.
- Contribute to office life and embody the firm’s values.
Contract and Working Conditions
- Permanent, full-time contract (CDI).
- Based at the Hystra headquarters in Paris 14th, with the possibility to work remotely up to two days a week.
- Willingness to travel occasionally for in-person workshops and stakeholder meetings, with travel expenses covered.
- Salary commensurate with experience, from Senior Consultant (EUR 66,500 gross salary, plus EUR 7,000 performance-based bonus) to Project Manager (EUR 70-80,000, plus EUR 9-14,500 performance-based bonus).
