Bioline’ s Chief Sustainability Officer (CSO) will be responsible for overseeing the group environmental impact. As such the CSO will functionally report and work closely with the following Directors and their team:

· The Operations Director on one side formatters related to supply chain / industrial environmental impact, and,

· The Marketing & Innovation director on the other side for subjects related to the quantification of avoided pesticides, sustainable packaging, among others.

Responsibilities :

1. Formalize and implement the company’s sustainability strategy, particularly in its “impact” dimension

2. Provide technical expertise and innovative solutions for the implementation of the various initiatives and associated projects, particularly those defined in the Group’s “Impact Acceleration Roadmap” (reduction of GHG emissions, responsible packaging, avoidance of pesticides, etc.), in conjunction with the various business teams within the group

3. Provide sustainability expertise and direction via tools, methodologies, trainings and guidelines to embed and integrate sustainability consideration into all relevant business activities.

4. Implement rigorous and consistent methodological frameworks for conducting environmental impact assessments, including metrics such as carbon footprint and pesticide reduction.

5. Support the development of robust, audit-ready sustainability data for internal and external purposes (e.g. claims, reporting).

6. Implement the CSRD and the Group’s ESG policies

7. Ensure the production of ESG & Impact reporting, the annual sustainability report, and related audits.

8. Establish and manage Bioline’ s sustainability governance, including the ESG & Impact Board, and ensure progress towards the Group’s targets.

9. Contribute to the company’s influence, by generating content, speaking out, establishing partnerships or contributing to specialized working groups

10. Remain updated with emerging trends, regulations, and best practices in sustainability to ensure a best-in-class sustainability program.

Profile

Qualifications :

· Academic background in Environmental sciences and/or sustainable development

· Fluent proficiency in English and French. Spanish would be great.

Required competencies :

· 8+ years relevant experience in corporate sustainability leadership, driving sustainability execution and implementation, or in environmental/sustainability consulting.

· Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of sustainability topics such as climate, circularity, water, human rights, DEI, responsible sourcing, etc.

· Significant experience in working with senior management teams, advising on core elements of a business’ sustainability strategy and performance

· Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously

· Experience in data handling, quantitative approaches, and defining sustainability KPIs.

· Strong understanding of international sustainability regulations and relevant standards (e.g. CSRD, EU Taxonomy, CSDDD, B Corp, etc.).

· Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data and trends into actionable plans.

· Demonstrated leadership capabilities and experience driving organizational change, managing international teams.

· Preferred - Experience working in industrial context and/or agricultural, agri-food or biotechnology sector.

· Proficiency in persuading and motivating multicultural teams towards the successful completion of an ESG-focused project.
