Our mission at Versant is to build the go-to platform for ecological intelligence in infrastructure projects development, enabling projects and nature to co-exist in harmony.

🤔 who are we?

The co-founders Luc and Martin met during an entrepreneurship program called Antler in Paris. Their complimentary backgrounds and impact-driven entrepreneurial spirit were a perfect match to work together. We are also supported by Greta, our Lead Ecologist, who heads science initiatives. 🗺️ where are we & where are we going?

We have validated our go-to-market and have our first customers, showing early product-market fit. We have achieved this through rigorous research in ecology and remote sensing, and the development of a strategic science advisory board.

To accelerate, we’ve raised our first round of funding. Our next goal is to strengthen our product and sales funnel to onboard more clients and establish ourselves as a key player in our initial market segment.

📍 Location: Climate House, Paris (Hybrid)

💼 Job Type: Internship

📅 The position is open with a flexible starting date, ideally for a six-month internship.

We are opening a founder’s associate role for an intern with an entrepreneurial mindset to work alongside Martin, the CEO, on a wide range of strategic and operational processes and initiatives.

As a Founder's Associate, you’ll work directly with the founder to accelerate sales and operations. Your role is dynamic and hands-on, and your impact will be felt across the business. Key responsibilities could include:

  • Sales Support & Prospecting
  • Research, identify and qualify leads in our target markets.
  • Maintain and update the CRM to ensure an organized sales pipeline.
  • Prepare materials for prospect discussions, pitches, and presentations.
  • Operations & Client Communication
  • Oversee project deliverables to ensure they meet timelines and quality standards.
  • Communicate directly with clients, presenting results and gathering feedback.
  • Maintain organized project and client documentation for seamless operations.
  • Process Improvement & Automation
  • Implement tools and workflows to streamline sales and operational tasks.
  • Identify and integrate automation solutions to improve efficiency.
  • Strategic Involvement
  • Participate in planning sessions to refine and automate sales strategies.
  • Share insights from client interactions to inform product and service improvements.

  • Detail-Oriented: Organized and methodical, with a knack for juggling tasks effectively.
  • Fluent in both English and French. (We work primarily in English)

+ Bonus Skills:

  • Experience in customer relationships or account management.
  • Familiarity with renewable energy or infrastructure project development.

🤺 hard(-er) Qualifications

  • You are pursuing or recently completed a masters-level or masters-level equivalent business/engineering degree, or have a similar level of education through self-study. Nontraditional education paths will be considered!
  • Are able to live in or near Paris and normally work in person at our office at Climate House.
