Business Developer

Sulitest is a growing organization, supporting universities and business schools worldwide to advance sustainability education. Our flagship tool, TASK™ (The Assessment of Sustainability Knowledge) is the first internationally recognized certificate on sustainability knowledge (the equivalent of the TOEIC for sustainability). As of today, 100 higher education institutions use TASK™ and over 100,000 students have completed the assessment.

The Sulitest movement is strongly supported by major national and international NGOs and organizations (i.e. the United Nations and Higher Education Sustainability Initiative (HESI) and has raised 1.5M€+ in 2022.

We are looking for a Business Developer to increase our impact through the deployment of TASK™ within Higher Education Institutions worldwide and carry out our business activities.

Responsibilities

As part of the Sales & Marketing team, the Business Developer role is central to the acquisition strategy. You will help us deploy massively our vision abroad and your role will support both our Inbound & Outbound sales efforts, by conducting many business meetings and close deals. In other words, your responsibilities include:

  • Lead generation and prospection: Identify potential clients through various channels such as cold calling, attending events, and online outreach to grow our prospect base.
  • Qualify leads: Detect customer goals, major concerns, and pain points, as well as understand their context, decision process, and how we can help them.
  • Sales presentations: Conduct sales presentations directly to prospects, in events or through partner channels, to discover customer needs, and explain and convince about Sulitest.
  • Build relationships & close deals: Build and nurture strong and long-term relationships with partners and prospects, learning from their needs and concerns and helping us shape our commercial offers, to tackle our sales objectives.
  • Events: Identify potential opportunities to represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking functions.

To achieve your missions, you will be supported by the Sales & Marketing Team, and the Co-Founder of Sulitest, as well as continue to learn and grow within the team.

Your role may evolve over time as you and Sulitest evolve as well.

Benefits

  • Salary: fix between 38k€-40k€ gross annual + collective annual bonus
  • Days off / year:
  • 25 days for annual leave + 10 RTT
  • 6 extra days off: 2 days for sustainability travels + 2 voluntary days + 2 bridge days (RTT ponts)
  • 6 additional days after 3 years' service at Sulitest

Conditions

  • Long-term contract (CDI)
  • Starting date: Ideally beginning of July to allow your participation in the Team Seminar (mid-July)
  • Location: We have one office in Paris (near the Cour Saint Emilion) and another in Marseille (in the “Parc National des Calanques” in Luminy). We prefer hybrid working (3 days in-office, 2 days at home), although remote working could be considered dependant on the profile.

Profil recherché

Who we are looking for

Requirements:

  • You have 2-3 years of experience in business development, ideally in B2B/B2G with large and complex organizations.
  • You are excited and feel comfortable with outbound business. You understand effort and patience needed to succeed in B2B/B2G long-term signature process.
  • You are engaged, autonomous and well-motivated to get new sales challenges done.
  • You are a good listener and have empathy and the agility to adapt to a wide range of people with different backgrounds.
  • You are resourceful, solution-oriented and well organized.
  • You are fluent in English and French (other languages are always a bonus).
  • You thrive in a dynamic environment and are excited about the opportunity to join a startup (social business – Entreprise de l’économie sociale et solidaire) where values and impact come first.

Desired:

  • You have experience in the education sector and/or with sustainability
  • You are confident with SaaS tools, CRM (Hubspot), Growth hacking, etc.
  • You are based in Marseille, France
