Job responsibilities:
PRIMARY
- Oversee all internal and external communications, ensuring our message is consistent and engaging.
- Collaborate with our editorial team to enhance the pedagogical nature of our articles, notably through the development of visual or multimedia content (e.g., graphics, images, or videos) that effectively convey key messages.
- Establish connections with the media to amplify the coverage of our work.
- Cultivate a larger and more engaged following among our audience and supporters on social media and other communication platforms (e.g. newsletter).
- Forge partnerships with influencers across various areas of interest on social media. This entails engaging in dialogue to understand their values and needs.
- Regularly monitor and analyze the performance of our content on social media platforms using reporting tools to guide the implementation of the communication strategy and make necessary adjustments.
SECONDARY
- Assist in surveying our audience to understand their needs and expectations regarding the understandability, trustworthiness and usefulness of our content. This may involve creating questionnaires on our website or conducting short surveys on social networks.
- Engage with our network of volunteer scientists to enhance their involvement, potentially through participation in interviews or distribution of newsletters.
- Support fundraising efforts to attract sustainable revenue from our audience, philanthropic sources, and grants.
- Aid in optimizing our website for search engines.
