Description de la mission

What we’re looking for 👀

CarbonFarm is looking to hire a Carbon Finance Intern to come work with us in Paris.

We are a diverse team of 20 people working to decarbonise rice farming using satellite imagery, artificial intelligence, and carbon markets.

You will be working primarily with our carbon finance and project development team, but will have the opportunity to learn from the rest of the company, such as our science team.

This is a great opportunity for someone interested in working at the intersection of climate finance, agriculture, and project development.

Ideally, you would have previous experience in project finance, carbon markets and/or nature-based solutions, and be willing to work in a fast-paced environment across Europe, Asia and Africa.

Your work will directly impact our ability to scale rice decarbonisation and deliver financeable climate outcomes.

The role is in-person at Station F in Paris, France, with a flexible start date.

What you’ll be doing 💻

  • Financial modelling & Project structuring: Support project budgeting and carbon revenue modelling to inform project structuring, internal decision-making and investor discussions.
  • Investor due diligence support: Prepare responses and documentation for investor due diligence for our carbon projects seeking external funding, covering technical, financial, ESG, and operational aspects.
  • Building and improving carbon models: Build Excel-based carbon models for our projects to support baseline calculations and emission reduction predictions under sustainable practices.

What we offer

  • Hands-on experience in climate change mitigation
  • Exposure to international partners and field teams across Asia and Africa
  • A fast-moving, mission-driven environment where your work directly contributes to climate impact
  • Mentorship and opportunities for rapid learning
  • Competitive internship compensation + meal vouchers + transport reimbursement
