Job Description

As Project Controller of three renewable energy plants under operation and a new project that will be  under construction in Dominican Republic, you will work closely with the asset management team and local management and report to the Country Manager and Finance Manager LATAM. You will have responsibility for the preparation of timely and reliable financial information to support the ongoing management of the project and meet all internal/external reporting requirements.

  • Ensure compliance with contractual and statutory obligations of the project company (with shareholders and banks),
  • Preparation of monthly and quarterly Financial Reports,
  • Preparation of annual statutory, regulatory and other reporting/returns for project companies and the lead the closing process
  • Review and update business plans and budgets regularly to look for cost reduction opportunity,
  • Manage cash flows by tracking transactions and regularly reviewing internal reports,
  • Identifying and implementing improvements and efficiencies to processes,
  • Advising on strategies to improve Company financial performance and making recommendations on appropriate key financial targets,
  • Working with the Corporate Finance team located in Paris and Uruguay in the preparation of board updates and quarterly board papers,
  • Working closely with the management team, taking an active role in supporting the strategic development of the local business,
  • Being in charge of the follow up of the invoices and commitments approval process for all the local companies. Responsable for the payment process and manage relationship with suppliers
  • Develop annual budgets for the companies together with the asset management team and development team. 
  • Ability to support the transition from an external accounting an internal ERP

Qualifications

Personal Experience

·       At least 5 ­years’ experience in management accountant/audit (in renewable energy or financing experience/project financing)

·       Studies with specialization in Finances or Management control

·       Good information system skills

·       Good accounting knowledge

·       Good skills in data analysis

·       Organization and planning capacity

·       Availability and high capacity of work

·       Ability to summarize in order to quickly conceptualize issues and solutions

·       Anticipation and reactivity capacity

·       Ability to work in an informal environment (growing group).

Languages:   

·       Fluent Spanish required

·       Fluent English required

·       French (optional)

Additional Information

Availability to fly in the region is required.
