Overall job description :

Lead the cell mechanical innovation design

- Manage and technically coach the cell innovation team

- Research of new concept design / Creativity session

- Drive the designs

- Technical assessment: prototyping, test plan implementation

- Qualification of new materials

- Co-design with expert suppliers

Main missions and objectives :

Manage the team and lead the design and technical studies on innovation projects – KPIs : concepts are proposed and designed at each TRL stage. Proof of concepts are demonstrated with prototypes.

Centralize innovation inputs/outputs from/for customer & ACC teams (purchasing, Industrialization, Project Lead, …) for all innovation questions and deliverables on innovation projects – KPI : data on-quality and on-time delivery.

-  Lead its project/development with a high level of reliability and organize the design review of its team.

-  Guarantee the quality of the prototypes and the robustness of the tests.

-  Contribute to find innovation concepts.

-  Share its skills and knowledge in mechanical design with the design teams: technicians, other teams, the suppliers and with our customers.

Profil recherché

Knowledge :

-Strong knowledge in mechanical engineering and mass production.

-Basic understanding of materials and electro-chemistry designs and processes.

-Ability to lead concurrent technical tasks,projects and team workload.

-Technical project leadership skills in the automotive industry.


Experience :

Min 8 years-experience in mechanical product development, including a direct customer relationship (internal or external).

Qualifications :


Engineering master degree.

Fluent in technical written and spoken English.

Some extra skills :

A CAD design experience in the mechanical, or chemical fields, and knowledge of Design to cost approach would be a plus.

Our process usually involves 3 interviews: 2 technical and one HR.
