Automotive Cells Company (ACC) is one of Europe’s newest and most exciting high-tech companies. Backed by Saft-Total, Stellantis-Opel and Mercedes-Benz, ACC is set to power the future of the automotive industry by innovating in battery technology.
 
We aim to produce sustainable, affordable, high-capacity, longer-life batteries as a cleaner alternative to current energy sources. We have created an R&D center and new state-of-the art facility in France (New Aquitaine), and we are building gigafactories in Hauts de France, Germany and Italy.

As a Senior Equipment Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the implementation, and optimization of advanced manufacturing equipment and processes within our cell manufacturing facilities. Your expertise will be vital in ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and compliance of our equipment and systems, contributing directly to the successful production of our cell-based products.

Your Main Missions will be:

  • Set up and operate manufacturing equipment, including cell assembly machines, automated systems, and testing instruments
  • Lead efforts for equipment mechanical & electrical related issues during installation, commissioning and production ramp up phases. Diagnose and resolve equipment malfunctions to minimize downtime and maintain production efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to propose modification and optimization of manufacturing equipment, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and efficiency standards.
  • Develop and execute validation protocols for equipment and manufacturing processes, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost savings, and productivity enhancements, and work on projects to implement these enhancements.
  • Support equipment vendors during installation and commissioning to ensure timely delivery of equipment and services.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
  • Maintain accurate records, documentation, and equipment files to support compliance and auditing requirements.
Profil recherché

Know How

  • Possesses great expertise in related fields such as machining, adjusting, cutting, wiring, programming, welding, forming,…
  • Proven expertise in equipment troubleshooting and optimizing complex manufacturing equipment and processes
  • Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD), Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAM) software and other engineering tools

Experience

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in special equipment engineering
  • Experience in process validation, equipment qualification, and documentation practices

Qualification

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent


Some of our assets: A production site 30 minutes from Lille, connected to Paris, Bruxelles and London by highways and TGV, equipped with cutting-edge technologies, in an international environment and surrounded by green spaces.

You will be participating in the launch of the first Gigafactory in France, and benefit from charging stations for electric vehicles, telecommuting 1 day/week for those eligible, catering service delivered (with 7 euros/day paid by the employer), complementary retirement plan (subject to a salary threshold), additionnal & seniority leaves, free access to Gofluent, etc
