Are you an agronomist, or do you have experience of or a strong interest in the world of agriculture? We’re looking for a motivated individual who shares our enthusiasm for regenerative, low-carbon agriculture.

Your Role

You will help us to increase the agronomic and economic potential of farms to achieve healthy food, living soil, clean air and abundant biodiversity. You will supervise a team of independent encoders, ensuring the smooth operation of data collection and processing needed to provide a personalized carbon diagnostic using our decision support platform.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, the successful candidate will work on our decision support and carbon payment platform called mySoilCapital, taking responsibility for the entire process from farm data collection to report delivery and farmer feedback; via the supervision of a team of freelance encoders.

More specifically, the team supervised by the project manager will have the following responsibilities:

  • Correct and accurate encoding of the farmer’s data (providing support to the farmer and conducting virtual interviews with the farmer to finalise data collection).
  • Review of the encoded data, generation and revision of the mySoilCapital diagnostic.
  • Delivery of the mySoilCapital report to the farmer, accompanied by a discussion with the farmer on the potential levers that can be put in place to improve practices.
  • Compliance with the audit timetable and constraints in terms of providing carbon results and their quality.
  • Participating in the development of the mySoilCapital tool by gathering feedback from farmers and communicating it internally.

Experience & Expertise

- An excellent understanding of the French & Belgian agricultural sector (especially the Western and Southern regions) and a willingness to learn more about it.

- Proven ability to model complex systems, with an eye for detail.

- Positive personality, with the ability to interact easily with others (friendliness in interactions).

- Critical, problem-solving, results-oriented, perfectionist.

- Excellent communication skills in French (mother tongue) and English (fluent).

- Highly motivated and curious about the environmental and social impact of Soil Capital’s core mission.
