The local agency you will work with in Tanzania / Zanzibar / Kenya

We’ve visited the hotels, explored the parks, and haggled with the airlines so that you’re getting the best price and experience possible. Who we are: African safari tour operator, 15 years on the market, offices in 4 countries: Tanzania & Zanzibar, Kenya, Rwanda and South Africa.

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Spanish-speaking travel consultant to join our team in Tanzania, Kenya or Zanzibar. It is also possible to work part of the year in one of our destinations while traveling or spending time somewhere else during the remainder of the year. This fully location-independent position is highly suited for the digital nomad lifestyle.

You will be in charge of direct sales with Evaneos customers. You will be the person who receives inquiries through the Evaneos platform and the main contact Spanish travelers. You will be a safari expert replying to incoming leads - no cold calls. Responsibilities include communicating with clients by phone, e-mail, and messengers, developing a route, and accompanying a client from their request to a safari tour in Africa. Responsibilities of a sales specialist:

  • Cooperating with clients to determine their needs and advising on travel plans

  • Accompanying clients from inquiry to sale

  • Achieving or exceeding sales targets

  • weekly and monthly reports

  • Coordinating sales with marketing programs

  • Understanding and promoting safari routes

  • Preparing and submitting contracts signed with by the client

  • Maintaining a CRM system

  • Solve emerging problems for clients before and during the trip

This position requires a deep understanding of the specifics of an East African safari and excellent communication skills. Fluency in English is required.

Additional information

Duration & contract type: freelance contract, long-term contract

Precise location: Possible to be full remote from wherever you are

Availability: as soon as possible

Salary: commissions on sales around 5% per trip sold

Working time per day and week: free to arrange your work time


Languages required:

  • Spanish: native or bilingual to speak with the clients

  • English: fluency is mandatory to be able to speak with your colleagues and the local providers we are working with

  • Dutch, German, Russian: knowledge of additional languages ​​will be a plus

Ideal profile:

  • Experience in the travel industry for more than 3 years ideally

  • Excellent knowledge of basic computer software (e-mail, google docs, google spreadsheets)

  • Strong sales focus, client oriented

  • Skills to effectively communicate and negotiate

  • Good knowledge of domestic and international tourism trends

  • Education in hotel and tourism business or related fields is not required but is an advantage

  • Personal experience of traveling in Africa will be considered an advantage
