Company Description

Akuo Energy Greece was established in 2018 and is the affiliate of Akuo Energy, responsible of the company’s activities in the Greek region. Currently, Akuo Energy Greece is developing a large RES portfolio throughout the country, consisting of PV and Wind Projects (>1GW of projects secured to date).

Reporting to the Regional Head of Projects and the Country Manager, the Senior Project Developer is responsible for the development of renewable energy projects (Solar/Wind/Storage) from Green Field to Ready to Build.

Job Description

  • Achieve key steps of the project development such as securitization of the Land, obtention of Licenses, Permits, Grid connection and authorizations from the relevant administrations up to Projects Installation License,
  • Contribute to Project offtake securitization through Public tenders for PPA or through corporate PPA negotiations,
  • Ensure local acceptance and smooth development of projects through development of local relationships and trusted partnership with local authorities and administrations (Ministries, RAE, Grid Operator, Regional Authorities, Municipalities, Forest Agencies, Communities, Landowners),
  • Assess and monitor the projects risks and associated required mitigations, as well as the projects technical and economical viability,
  • Define and monitor the project development planning and budget,
  • Assure the coordination, follow-up and good quality of services provided by AKUO teams and external sub-contractors involved in the projects.

Qualifications

  • The ideal candidate will have a minimum 10 years of experience in developing Renewable Energy Projects (Solar/Wind/Storage) in the Greek Region, with an in-deep understanding of the applicable regulatory framework and significant experience dealing with the relevant authorities and administrations involved through the development process, to successfully bring projects from Green Field to Ready to Build status,Experience in public and private land securitization processes and negotiation desired,
  • Specialization in Greek environmental policy (ETA process etc.) or MV/HV networks and Grid availability studies and Grid connection offer process (NBGCTO-BGCTO),
  • Experience of non-recourse financing and due diligence processes to reach financial close will be a plus,
  • Able to multitask, overseeing the development of multiple projects in parallel,Able and willing to work as part of a multicultural team and contribute to the development of a fast-growing company carrying innovative and ambitious projects in the sustainable development sector,
  • Excellent command of the Greek and English languages. French will be considered a plus
  • Driver’s license required,
  • Frequent trips within Greece, Scheduled trips abroad.
