Parcoursup: 10 courses to help you find your way into the health and social professions
A little lost in your orientation as the Parcoursup choices approach? What if you were to choose the health and social sector? In the health sector, the needs are already high at the moment: 49,000 positions are to be filled in the care and personal service professions and they will be even higher in the years to come, due to the aging of the population. The needs are significant and these professions, which are oriented towards others, are very diverse: nursing assistants, nurses, medical secretaries, specialized educators, professional integration, psychology, etc.
⚠️ Parcoursup registration
Depuis le 20 décembre 2022, la Pacoursup plateform, offering more than 21,000 state-recognized training courses, is open to collect and manage your assignment wishes. In this article, we present 10 training courses accessible on Parcoursup to orient yourself towards a profession in the energy transition. To apply for the courses you have selected, you must register on Parcoursup.
Here is the Parcoursup calendar for 2023:
- Register and add your wishes - from January 18 to March 9 inclusive
- Complete your file and confirm your wishes - from March 9 to April 6 inclusive
- The admission phase will then take place - from June 1st to July 13th
The challenges of the health and social sector
According to INSEE figures, by 2050 there will be 4 million senior citizens in France. In addition to the aging population, there are currently 12 million people living with a disability and more and more French people are forced to live with a chronic disease. The sector therefore needs health and medico-social professionals.
But what do we really mean by "health and social professions"?
On the one hand, they are the professions of care for people, as a nurse, caregiver, life assistant, in hospitals, in nursing homes, in specialized medical centers, in people's homes...
And on the other hand, there are also social support professions such as :
- specialized educator in youth hostels, integration companies, shelters, etc.
