The purpose of this role is to manage and grow partner relationships with a variety of stakeholders to support awareness and usage of the micro:bit across the EMEA region. This role requires confident management of partners, projects and end users working in education, technology, and training settings. This is a 12-month contract to support maternity cover.

Profile

Key Responsibilities

路 Work within the Partnerships team to manage partners and growth of use of micro:bit in the EMEA (Europe, Middle East & Africa) region

路 Act as focal point for partner engagement in the EMEA region

路 Maintain, develop, and deepen relationship with key priority partners

路 Act as a facilitator with partners for new, large-scale micro:bit projects. Ensure partners have access to the skills and knowledge within the Foundation.

路 Build relationships with teacher community, associations, and interest groups

路 Build awareness and programmes with NGO鈥檚, Departments of Education, and charities

路 Report back to Product team on needs of users/stakeholders for localisation, features, and new products

路 Help to deliver partnerships for the Do your :bit challenge

路 Involvement in management of micro:bit champion programme & support for EMEA champions

路 Represent the Micro:bit Educational Foundation at education forums and events in Europe/UK (as applicable)

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

Essential

路 Belief in the Foundations mission to broaden participation in digital creativity and coding reaching more girls and more under-represented groups

路 Experience of working in a collaborative manner with global partners (in the fields of education, community, or technology)

路 Demonstrable experience of building and managing relationships with multiple partners with proven results & impact

路 Ability to demonstrate the micro:bit and talk about its place in education systems and curriculum

路 Experience with presenting, pitching and/or delivering online or face-to-face sessions

路 Entrepreneurially minded

路 Impeccable written and verbal communication skills

路 Experience of working in a global setting

路 Great organisation and reporting skills with an ability to manage own workflow and priorities

路 Ability to travel to meet with partners

Preferred

路 Experience within the education sector (K12 not Higher Education)

路 Knowledge of the Edtech market (hardware, software and/or applications)

路 An additional language (French / Spanish / Arabic / other)

Desirable

路 Experience of working in a non-for-profit context
