Description of the mission

About Equitable Earth

At Equitable Earth, we're on a mission to help protect and restore 1% of the natural world by 2030. We’ve built a rigorous, technology-enabled standard to certify conservation and restoration projects, ensuring they deliver lasting impact: strengthening livelihoods, safeguarding biodiversity, and supporting a stable climate. We're a diverse, mission-driven group from over 10 nationalities, working collaboratively and remotely across continents.

About the role

We’re looking for a Talent Acquisition Specialist to join Equitable Earth on a 6-month fixed-term contract with a primary focus on talent acquisition and onboarding.

This role is ideal for someone with strong recruitment experience who also enjoys contributing to broader HR initiatives, including talent experience, development, and general people operations.

You will play a key role in scaling our global team, ensuring a high-quality experience for candidates and new hires, while supporting other people-related projects as time permits.

What you’ll do

Talent Acquisition & Onboarding

  • Lead full-cycle recruitment for both individual contributor and leadership roles across multiple international locations.
  • Partner with hiring managers to define role requirements, scope, and hiring strategy.
  • Draft and publish job advertisements across relevant channels.
  • Conduct proactive sourcing, headhunting, direct outreach, and pipeline development.
  • Coordinate candidates throughout the recruitment process to ensure a seamless experience.
  • Build and nurture talent pools to anticipate future hiring needs.
  • Support onboarding to ensure new hires have a smooth and engaging start.

People Ops Support

  • Support selected parts of the employee lifecycle, including HR administration and compliance-related tasks.
  • Contribute to HR process improvements, ensuring efficiency and scalability.
  • Support the people team's projects, such as offsite planning, learning initiatives, employee engagement, and talent culture actions.
  • Help foster an inclusive, collaborative, and positive remote culture.

What success looks like

Within one month, you will build a solid understanding of the Carbon Markets, Equitable Earth’s culture and hiring priorities, while starting to support ongoing hires.

Within three months, you will independently manage several recruitment processes end-to-end and contribute to strengthening our sourcing pipelines and candidate experience.

Within six months, you will have meaningfully contributed to our hiring goals and supported selected people team projects beyond recruitment depending on priorities.
