➔ Description of the mission

Being Regional Communication Officer, your day will be primarily focused on:

  • Contributing to the development and Implementation of the communication strategy for region of Europe (France, UK, Spain, Switzerland– The region is in expansion, so other countries might become relevant in the future)
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of globally led communication initiatives (events, media projects, content production, campaigns…).
  • Track activities across country teams to identify information relevant for external communication and implement the necessary actions.
  • In collaboration with the communication manager, build and nurture relationships with external partners and members to ensure alignment and explore collaboration prospects.
  • Produce, coordinate and support the creation of content for communication platforms (press releases, publications, social media, website pages), including compelling examples of how Earthworm and its members/partners drive change on the ground.
  • In collaboration with the communication manager, develop a plan to update, translate and maintain regional website pages.
  • In collaboration with the communication manager, build and nurture relationships with external media to enhance Earthworm’s visibility in the region.
  • Engage and manage external agencies or consultants (graphic designers, editorial writers, PR agencies, event organizers, videographers) as needed.
  • In collaboration with the communication manager, plan and coordinate strategic events in the region.

➔ Profile

Graduated from a school of communication or journalism, you have very good writing, editing, planning and organizational skills. This led you to aspire to engage for the benefit of an organization with positive environmental and social impact. You enjoy project management, from ideation to implementation and are able to prioritize your work in an independent manner, which enables you to naturally take high value initiatives. You have demonstrated proficiency with communication tools (video, photoshop, InDesign, website), a strong appetite for analytics and familiarity with storytelling.

Being agile, open-minded and resilient, you are able to adapt to multicultural team and dynamic organizational context. You thrive on human relations and your taste for collaboration with a wide variety of audience, both with technical and artistic team members but also with external stakeholders, which make you a valuable asset to this international team.

You show curiosity and a desire to learn and understand our actual work and various projects. You navigate your way through interpersonal tensions with empathy, though taking a clear position and defining a way forward in your field of responsibilities.
