Senior Bioengineer or Agricultural Engineer

BeeOdiversity is a social impact company that helps businesses and public authorities

create value through biodiversity regeneration. This support is provided at a strategic level

(impact analysis, choice of indicators, strategic plan, standards, etc.) and/or operational

level (on-site monitoring, in particular via biomonitoring solutions, biodiversity regeneration

actions or reduction of agricultural and industrial pollutants).

The founders and the team are convinced that technology, nature-based solutions and

innovation are necessary to achieve their environmental impact objectives.

BeeOdiversity is active in more than 25 countries in the EU, the United States, South America

and Africa, with ambitions to expand to other continents.

BeeOdiversity is recognised for its environmental impact and innovative nature (e.g. Solar

Impulse, Ashoka, GreenTech innovation, Hello Tomorrow etc.). The team of around thirty BeeOactors is made up of young and notso-young people who are dynamic, passionate and concerned about the world of tomorrow!

BeeOdiversity is looking for a bioengineer/agricultural engineer with at least five years of experience.

Job description

This job description will be co-created, as we believe it is important that the role matches

the candidate’s passion and interests.

As a Drone Bee in the BeeOsolution team, you will be required to support clients in their

efforts to preserve/regenerate biodiversity and, more specifically, to:

  • Provide the necessary expertise in on-site biodiversity regeneration and/or
  • sustainable agriculture projects and, where appropriate, coordinate large-scale
  • projects
  • Advice on regenerative agriculture
  • Advice on actions to be taken for biodiversity
  • Analysis of site monitoring data and report generation
  • Stakeholder engagement (e.g. farmers) and training
  • Project management
  • Providing support to internal teams (strategic consulting, sales, R&D, etc.);



Expertise / experience and other requirements

  • Based in Belgium or France
  • Skills in agronomy and ecology with expertise in the fields of biodiversity (ecosystem
  • services, naturalist knowledge, regulations, etc.) and/or the agricultural sector
  • (inputs, PPP, technical itineraries, soil, etc.)
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a role related to biodiversity conservation and/or
  • sustainable agriculture within a consultancy firm, design office, NGO or public
  • institution
  • English + French and/or Dutch at minimum C1 level

Optional expertise to be highlighted

  • Expertise in advising farmers and sustainable agricultural practices
  • Expertise in conducting audits, inventories, management plans and land use
  • planning
  • BREEAM certification or at least 3 years’ experience as an ecologist
  • Facilitation of workshops
  • eDNA or other biodiversity monitoring solutions
  • Knowledge of analytical chemistry
  • Knowledge of programming
  • Team management
  • Network of CSR managers and environmental managers
  • Knowledge of IT tools: office automation and geomatics (QGIS, ArcGIS)
  • Knowledge of the scientific and associative network.
