Founded in 1909, PIARC (World Road Association) is an organisation with nearly 3,000 members, mainly the road administrations of the 120+ member governments. Its main objective is to promote worldwide exchanges on all aspects of roads and road transport. The Association is recognised for its diverse output, which is part of a four-year Strategic Plan and includes the Routes/Roads magazine, technical reports, international seminars and world and international congresses.

Reporting directly to the Head of Communications, the Communications Officer will be responsible for:
MISSIONS:
Own activities:
▪ To manage and run PIARC's social networks, including the production and regular publication of content.
▪ Acting as a community manager.
▪ Produce the monthly newsletter and regular mailings.
▪ Helping to maintain and update the Association's website dynamically.
▪ Produce varied content, including text, images and video.
▪ Identifying opportunities to promote the Association and its activities.
▪ Carry out regular promotional campaigns as well as specific campaigns for flagship activities.
▪ Contributing to the preparation of events organised by PIARC, such as conferences, seminars and webinars.
Cross-functional and leadership activities:
▪ Contribute to the definition of the communication strategy and the corresponding plans.
▪ Working closely with the Communications Manager and other members of the team, in particular the Information Systems Manager and the Publishing Manager.
▪ Networking with PIARC's technical and national committees, as well as with the Association's external partners.
▪ Participate in the work of the Strategic Plan Commission and the Communications Commission.
▪ Contribute to the general smooth running of the department.
