WHO WE ARE

PUR is a global leader in supply chain sustainability. We develop socio-environmental projects within the supply chains of our Corporate Partners. Through the economic and social empowerment of local communities and the introduction of sustainable development initiatives at the agricultural level, PUR seeks to address climate change, while regenerating and preserving the ecosystems upon which these supply chains depend. Many of PUR’s projects fall within the categories of insetting, regenerative agriculture, agroforestry, forest conservation and landscape restoration. PUR Projet is a B Corp Company which employs over 200 people and a presence in 10 countries.

WOOL INSETTING PROGRAM OVERVIEW

In 2020, PUR launched an Insetting program designed to reduce the carbon emissions and environmental footprint of a wool supply chain for a global fashion client. Together with a large Australian based wool trader, PUR has been onboarded six wool growers into this program and will continue to expand. The key objective of the program is to measure carbon sequestered in soils thanks to rotational grazing, pasture improvement, and other regenerative agriculture practices. A secondary objective is to measure how these activities impact biodiversity on farms including pasture species diversity.

PUR is looking for a contractual Insetting Project Manager to lead our technical field operations and wool grower coordination as part of this program in NSW and VIC, Australia. You will be responsible for managing PUR’s existing wool farmer group, growing the farmer group and furthering the community aspect.

  • Coordinating and/or conducting soil and biodiversity sampling and understanding the application of a remote sensing software and platform to inform sampling design

  • Interpreting soil sampling results and providing feedback to growers

  • Reviewing and providing feedback on the design of rotational grazing, pasture improvement, and other regenerative practices for growers in the program

  • Track project KPIs and consolidate annual reports on the activities

  • Manage field operational costs and payments to growers.

Developing the farmer community
