We’re looking for a France-based Head of Science to join a climatetech project.
👉 Important note: This is a cofounder position—expect equity, not salary.
What does the project look like?
- This year, the global furniture industry is projected to generate a turnover of US$765 billion. In the European Union alone, it employs over 1 million people.
- Driven by evolving consumer expectations and impending regulations—such as the ESPR and EUDR in Europe, and the Climat et Résilience law in France—furniture brands are beginning a significant transition toward sustainability.
- Our mission is to develop the first sustainability operating system specifically designed for the furniture industry. This platform will empower brands to measure and reduce their environmental impact at scale.
Who are we?
- Greg: An ESSEC Business School graduate, Greg was an early employee at French unicorn Doctolib, where he led patient marketing. He later served as CMO at Hunter.io and Head of Growth at Wisepops, driving significant growth in both roles. Greg is based in Montpellier, France.
- Makhtar: With over a decade of experience, Makhtar has led tech teams across industries including e-commerce, SaaS, and media. Most recently, as CTO for a high-end furniture company, he scaled the business's tech operations to support exponential growth in multiple markets. Makhtar is based in Paris, France.
How far along are we in the project?
After spending weeks researching the market, we’re ready to build a minimum viable product.
Why join?
- To help tackle climate change in a meaningful way.
- To start your own company/adventure.
