We are looking for an experienced reforestation operation manager to lead our reforestation projects and forest restoration efforts in Brazil.

The reforestation operation manager will be responsible for all phases of project development, from diagnosis to implementation and monitoring. You will work closely with the project and ecosystem team to ensure that our projects are executed efficiently and effectively.

Missions

  • Preparation of large-scale projects throughout Brazil. Diagnosis methods, results analysis , planning and managing budgets, maintaining equipment and and preparing MORFO’s plantation methods
  • Implementation of reforestation/afforestation of MORFO’s projects all over Brazil
  • Preparation and deployment of pre-planting diagnostics and project monitoring missions (planning, budget management, deployment on-site, analyzing results, understanding of customer expectations)
  • Participation in R&D for the creation/improvement of adapted tools for operation
  • Coordination with the Ecosystem team for Research and Development of the Morfo’s method
  • Coordinate, train and manage subcontractors on MORFO’s method (drone, machinery, technics)
Profile
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in forestry, agriculture or environmental projects
  • Strong project management skills with experience in handling large-scale initiatives.
  • Knowledge of project planning, budgeting, and resource allocation.
  • Excellent organizational and coordination skills.
  • At least one experience in planning and executing reforestation/afforestation initiatives or projects.
  • Fluent in english
  • Driving licence
  • Good knowledge in GIS software (QGIS/Arcgis)
