We are looking for an experienced reforestation operation manager to lead our diagnostics & monitoring phases in all our forest restoration projects in Brazil.

The reforestation operation manager will be responsible for the analyses of our projects, from diagnosis to monitoring. You will work closely with the Project Team and R&D team to ensure that our projects are executed efficiently and effectively.

Missions :

  • Tools : Creation and development of suitable tools for carrying out pre-planting diagnostics in different environments (mining, agriculture, forestry) & for monitoring our reforestation projects
  • Training and management of a multi-disciplinary team (mining rehabilitation, soil knowledge, forestry, biology, microbiology) for diagnostic and monitoring issues.
  • Coordination of Data and Forest R&D teams for diagnostics and monitoring issues
  • Social diagnostic & monitoring : development of new methods for the social part of our diagnostic & monitoring
Profile
  • Master’s degree in forest, environmental science, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in project management in forestry, agriculture
  • Knowledge of forest inventories and associated statistics with emphasis on natural forests
  • Notions of monitoring reforestation in accordance with Brazilian legislation
  • Identification of tree species - Amazon and Atlantic Forest - botanical science skills
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Fluent in English
  • Driving licence
  • Knowledge of GIS, R language and data management
