Position

We’re seeking a highly motivated Reforestation and Botanical Specialist to join our team and play a key role in developing native plant restoration projects across Brazil.

If you are a forest engineer, expert in Brazilian native flora and botanics, and enjoy extensive fieldwork, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct forest inventories and botanical surveys to assess project progress and ecological impact.
  • Train and mentor local teams in best practices for native reforestation.
  • Oversee plantation schemes for reforestation projects, ensuring optimal species choice based on region and ecosystem needs.
  • Collect, organize, and analyze data related to reforestation efforts.
  • Develop and implement strategies for successful project completion.
Profile

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Forest Engineering.
  • 3-7 years of experience with native reforestation projects.
  • Knowledge of botanical identification is a must, and knowledge of direct seedling methods is a plus.
  • Experience in training local teams and working with local communities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel and other data analysis tools. Proficiency in GIS analysis is highly desirable.
  • Result-oriented mindset with strong initiative and problem-solving skills.
  • Fluent in English and Portuguese.
  • Valid driving license.
  • Willingness to engage in regular fieldwork and travel.
