WHO WE ARE

Hello Tomorrow is a mission-driven global organization that aims to accelerate the transfer of deep technologies to solve some of our most pressing industrial, environmental, and societal challenges.

We are an international team of 30 people in Paris (13 different nationalities!), with hubs in several other countries, and the largest deep tech network worldwide.

We are currently looking for a Global Challenge & Startup Network Coordinator who will manage a renowned worldwide startup competition as well as a community of deep tech startups!

WHAT WILL YOU DO

Reporting to and supported by your Manager, you will coordinate the Global Challenge & Deep Tech Pioneers (DTP) community with the support of 1-2 interns.

1/ Define the Challenge communication plan (with our Marketing & Communications team)

2/ Manage the application platform and liaise with our third-party developer

3/ Develop and organize the pre-regional steps of the competition (in coordination with our Partnerships Teams)

4/ Coordinate partnerships with international organizations (universities, accelerators, etc.) to

ensure worldwide visibility of the Challenge and DTP community (together with our Partnerships Teams)

5/ Manage the sourcing of startups

● Improve the sourcing strategy (direct and indirect reach out to startups leveraging our network of partners)

● Source the best deep tech startups and convince them to apply (primarily, May to September)

6/ Organize and supervise the evaluation process

● Select jury members for the different evaluation rounds of the Challenge

● Depending on your background, contribute to analyzing the startups

● Ensure a qualitative selection of the startups

7/ Manage the participation of startups at our events

● Organize the Challenge Finals and startup exhibition area during the Global Summit (March)

● Organize 10+ pitching sessions for 70 startup finalists

● Organize the exhibition space for 70 startups

● Define processes and take care of logistics to invite startups to the Global Summit

8/ Provide regular support to startups

● Constantly reflect on deep tech startups needs and how our activities could support them, and suggest new ways to do so

● Answer any questions they might have about the Challenge or DTP community (application process & value proposition)

● Help create valuable content (articles, webinars, etc.) providing tips to startups and gather news/opportunities relevant for startups

● Liaise with different teams (Marketing & Communications team and Investor network team) to ensure startups’ open fundraising rounds, major achievements and job offers are shared within our networks

Profile

YOUR PREVIOUS EXPERIENCES

● Ability to manage long-term projects with many stakeholders (demonstrated

experience in project management, at least 4 years)

● Experience in organizing startup competitions is definitely a PLUS

● Experience in building long-term partnerships & organizing events is a PLUS

YOUR SKILLS & TALENTS

● You are native or fully fluent in English (knowledge of French is a plus)

● You are VERY well-organized and rigorous

● You have strong communication and negotiation skills

● You have a deep fascination for science, entrepreneurship, and innovation (familiar with “deep tech”)

● You have a good understanding of the deep tech ecosystem, in particular, deep tech startups’ needs

● You are proficient in G Suite (Mail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, etc.) and Microsoft Excel

● You are interested in working collaboratively with other team members

● You are willing to take initiative and have a strong belief in getting things done!
