The Research and International Affairs Hub, along with its Philanthropy Observatory, constitute the Research and Development mission of the Fondation de France. Reporting to the CEO, the Hub and the Observatory are in charge of the expertise on the philanthropic and civil society sectors in France and internationally whilst promoting and facilitating knowledge activities on major social and social justice issues. Activities include writing studies and reports in French on the sector and major social trends, connecting with major philanthropic networks internationally, favoring multi-stakeholder dialogue in France, partnering with researchers and academic institutions in France and Europe.
Its main activities include:

Conducting quantitative and qualitative studies on key societal issues (such as relational isolation and loneliness in France, gender parity, the relationship between philanthropy and democracy, the digital sphere and democracy, just transition, etc.) and on the philanthropic sector (National Foundations and Endowment Funds Survey, Annual Philanthropy Barometer).

Establishing and maintaining both institutional and research partnerships with key players in France and internationally, with a focus on Europe.

Raising awareness and favoring multi-stakeholder dialogue ((research, foundations, associations, public authorities, etc.) on either in-house studies or on key social and social justice themes (France, Europe).

Framing the strategy for supporting research in Humanities and Social Sciences and advocacy at the Fondation de France.
-Providing knowledge-based support to colleagues within the Fondation de France.
Your mission:

In collaboration with the head of the Hub, contribute to the design and organization of events at the Fondation de France and elsewhere (in France, internationally), including presentations of studies and reports, multi-stakeholder meetings on key issues of social concern and interest to the philanthropic sector (the digital sphere and democracy, gender equality, just transition, etc.).

Occasionally host events at the Fondation de France and elsewhere addressing diverse audiences (foundations, associations, research, arts and culture, public authorities, etc.).

Support the hub head, and the research lead and research officer by participating to the design and/or writing of quantitative and qualitative studies (literature reviews, conducting interviews, data collection and analysis, co-writing, proofreading, etc.).

Contribute to the dissemination of recently published studies (internally/externally).

Regularly monitor global philanthropy news and actively participate in philanthropic and academic network meetings to provide perspectives on major trends in the philanthropic sector (online, in-person).
