About Dioxycle

Dioxycle is pioneering breakthrough carbon utilization technologies that convert industrial emissions into sustainable chemicals with unprecedented energy and cost efficiency, starting with ethylene, the world's most used petrochemical. By displacing fossil fuels for the production of key chemicals, Dioxycle has the potential to ultimately reduce over 800 million tons of CO2 per year, representing ~2% of the world's emissions.

Our team is innovating across chemical, mechanical and system engineering to turn carbon transformation into an economically feasible, industrial reality by developing a completely novel technological approach. Having completed our medium-scale Proof-of-Concept, we are now working towards our first-of-its-kind industrial-scale electrolyzer and are assembling key partnerships for future commercial roll-out.

We are supported by world-class funders including Lowercarbon Capital, Breakthrough Energy Ventures and Gigascale Capital and have raised $26M to date. We operate from two centers in Paris and California (so whether you are passionate about outdoors or good food/art scenes, we have a location for you to join!)

Your Mission

Dioxycle is seeking a dedicated and passionate Data Lead to join our team and play a crucial role in supporting our mission of abating CO2 emissions by turning them into products we use every day. As our Data Lead, you will take responsibilities on the full data stack, including data collection, transformation, the development of data visualization tools and the testing of ML models. For this, you will be working closely with a software developer and another member of the Systems team, with daily interactions with the wider chemistry & engineering R&D team.

In this capacity, your responsibilities will center around:

- Data engineering: build a state-of the art pipeline to store, access and process the experimental and production data generated by our electrolyzers;

- Data analysis & data science: develop data visualization tools to support the R&D team; develop statistical and ML models to extract correlations; implement a technology watch on the usage of AI;

- Software engineering: collaborate with our software development team for code reviews and discussion about best development practices.
