Astraveus is a startup founded in 2016, specializing in the development of innovative instruments for the production of a new type of medicine: cellular and genetic therapies.
Cellular and genetic therapies consist of living cells with high therapeutic potential, such as genetically reprogrammed lymphocytes to target cancer cells. These therapies can cure cancers or incurable genetic diseases, but they are currently too complex and expensive to produce. This results in typical per-patient prices ranging from €0.5 to €2 million.
Our goal is to revolutionize their production to achieve superior performance and standardization compared to competing approaches, thereby contributing to making these innovative therapies accessible to all. To achieve this, we are developing innovative solutions that leverage the performance and precision of microfluidic modules in a fully automated manner.
As part of our growth, we are looking for someone passionate, curious, and eager to contribute to developing access to care, to join a dynamic, enthusiastic, and friendly team.
We are seeking a project manager to strengthen our Microtechnologies team. The hired person will be responsible for the development of microfluidic modules for bioproduction.
- Project Management: Technical leadership considering user needs, regulatory context, industrial and economic constraints; planning and anticipation of project progress; risk management; regular documentation and communication;
- Concept Development: Fundamental studies and rationalization of design principles based on internal knowledge, literature, analytical and numerical modeling; Design; Prototyping (machining, 3D printing, molding, assembly, coatings, etc.)
- Functional Studies, Reports, and Improvement: Development and execution of fundamental and applied test plans, if necessary in collaboration; documentation of tests and analysis of results; synthesis of results and their implications; presentation of conclusions and recommendations.
- Collaboration and Excellence: Teamwork, communication, documentation, proactivity, rigor.
- Integration and Real-World Testing with other team members, particularly biological testing.
The projects you will work on are intended to be integrated into complete systems involving robotics, electronics, software, processes, and biology. You will therefore work in a multidisciplinary environment with numerous exchanges to ensure the interdependencies and compatibilities of the work.
