Anthesis – ESG Strategy division is a division of Anthesis that operates predominantly in the private sector, focusing on:

  • The interface between brand, purpose, sustainability & ESG
  • Understanding material risks and opportunities relevant to our clients’ activities
  • Defining commercially relevant sustainability targets and ambitions, with associated metrics
  • Developing and translating sustainability strategies into creative concepts that can be used across communication channels
  • Engaging a diverse range of stakeholders and encouraging them to take bolder actions to have more impact
  • Supporting sustainability communications planning and activation, including sustainability reporting
  • Working closely with other Anthesis teams on the implementation of sustainability strategies (Decarbonation, Biodiversity, Social impact, Circular Business Models)
  • To sustain the growth in activity in our service area from domestic French clients and their global activities, we are keen to provide additional support to the team to expand to meet our clients’ needs in this exciting area of strategy development.

The role is key to provide a timely and comprehensive support to our growing number of customers in France with ESG knowledge

  • Assist the ESG Strategy consultants and directors in gathering key information on customers and competitors ESG practices
  • Contribute to the Double Materiality Assessment phase and ESRS gap analysis
  • Provide market information
  • Coordinate tasks within the department and with Anthesis Specific Matters Experts in France and abroad
  • Contribute to the customers data collection
  • Support the process of business development (proposals, events … as required)
  • Supports the company’s standards
  • In charge of regulations updates
Profile

The candidate shall demonstrate the following experience and skills:

  • 2-3+ years’ experience in a consulting or in an in-house role focusing on sustainability & ESG
  • Ideally candidates have already some experience to be demonstrated in
  1. in ESG and Human Rights, Supply chain, due diligence, risk management, disputes and litigation support, political risk and/or investigative journalism.
  2. advising on or completing workstreams where key sustainability frameworks have been used (CSRD, CSDDD, GRI, SASB, ISSB, SFDR, Ecovadis ...)
  3. in managing data collection processes on material priorities, and distilling datapoints into key insights for different stakeholder groups
  4. in driving interviews with customers and speaking publicly
  5. in documents sourcing and analysis, summary reporting
  6. in benchmarking
  7. in project management is a plus

Languages

  • Native French speaker preferred
  • Fluency in English is a must
