Description du poste

This position is part of the S&E (Structuring & Execution) department, which encompasses the following areas of expertise: project management, contract and purchasing management, supply chain management, construction management, technical expertise, being responsible for two main work streams in the following areas:

  • Continuous improvement of our methods: Improve, complete and deploy processes, tools, models and training (including interfaces with other business units), based on REX,
  • Support projects in their various phases, taking on M&E roles (linked to our areas of expertise) in project teams, with a particular focus on the structuring and execution phases.

Within S&E team, the Supply Chain Management team is taking care of our global procurement strategy, our category management strategy of our various products & services and our logistic operations.

As the PV Category Manager, you will be aiming to increase our level of control & knowledge for the PV modules & structures category and to standardize our methodology for all the regions.

Based in the head office of Paris, your main tasks will be as follow :

Market Watch:

  • Develop a global overview on the market of PV Modules (technologies, manufacturing processes, geopolitical constraints) and Structures (fixed, trackers, floating, greenhouses, etc.), assessing them both at the global and regional levels (presence, track-record by techno, capabilities, country targets),
  • Issue internal price guidance, followed by a detailed presentation to the corporate senior management and subsidiaries, enabling informed decision-making aligned with the company's strategic objectives.

Tools and Support:

  • Ensure procurement templates and procedures are updated and available in the intranet to the project teams. 
  • Offer internal support to the projects during negotiation, contract writing and conflict resolution during execution of the projects. 
  • Monitor project budgets for PV Modules and Structures in collaboration with the project teams.

Strategy Development:

  • Propose procurement and contracting strategies with qualified suppliers to align with business needs, ensuring decision making is made in a structured way, including risk mitigation, and considering both group level strategy and project industrial strategy.
  • Establish and update a product roadmap for procurement and project development guidance.

Supplier Management:

  • Build relationship with suppliers based on open communication, trust, and a win-win long-term approach,
  • Source and qualify potential PV Modules and Structures manufacturers in accordance with relevant regulations and internal policies,
  • Draft and negotiate frame agreements and material supply contracts with suppliers, with internal support from the Contract & Procurement team and relevant Akuo Business Units, and ensure proper follow up after signature.

ESG:

  • Implement a specific ESG roadmap for the product, sharing our ESG position with suppliers by maintaining an audit plan and by ensuring strong contractual wording. 

Qualifications

Must-have

  • 4-6 years experience in the following areas : project procurement, contract drafting and contract negotiation,
  • International and multicultural exposure,
  • Excellent command of both French and English.

Nice-to-have

  • Knowledge of the PV Modules market in terms of key players, geopolitical situation, prices and available technologies
  • Renewable energy experience.

Key elements:

  • Location: Akuo headquarters, at 140 avenue des Champs-Elysées, 75008 Paris,
  • Salary: between €50k to €55k + 5% target bonus,
  • Type of contract: permanent,
  • The position is open to remote work, up to 2 days per week + 10 floating days per year (i.e. 100 days per year).
