Future of Waste is a MakeSense program created in collaboration with SUEZ to  engage citizens and support social entrepreneurs in waste prevention, collection, upcycling and recycling.  We bring concrete solutions to social and environmental entrepreneurs through creativity sessions, do-it-together workshops, networking and promotion events.


You will work from our co-working space in Paris (Bastille) amongst social start ups in a lean and thrilling environment where you will meet daily inspiring persons. You will work on Facebook, Twitter and Skype to work in close relationship with the MakeSense community around the world.

You role will be to co-create and share tools, knowledge and enthusiasm that help our community solve the challenges of social and environmental entrepreneurs.. On top of any skills, we're most of all looking for an individual passionate about Waste and Social Business who will always make it easier for community members to connect and create both online & offline.


While being continuously trained you will be in charge of :

  • Meeting entrepreneurs and volunteers, understand their stories and challenges and help them communicate on social network and in real life

  • Coordinating conferences, workshops and networking event

  • Training volunteers and helping them get involved, from the preparation of their first event to being autonomous in the community

  • Publish, monitor and curate information about waste, social and environmental entrepreneurship, circular economy worldwide through extensive online community management


Knowledge & Skills

  • You are fluent in English and French

  • You are passionate and curious about sustainable development, waste prevention, upcycling and recycling and have a good understanding of the sector worldwide.

  • You can work in team and within lean organizations

  • You can handle simultaneous projects through good prioritization and proper planning

  • You are open-minded and able to learn fast which unables you to adapt to new audiences, regions and sectors

  • You are interested by innovation – methods, tools, ecosystems -

  • You are willing to create interesting and attractive contents on social media

  • You have mobilized people to follow you in your projects / initiatives

  • You have trained or helped other people to learn and acknowledge something

  • You are autonomous and can take initiatives but can easily report and synchronize with others

  • You don’t mind working with flexible hours. Lots of events might happen in the evenings or weekends


What we offer

  • Start date : As soon as possible

  • Fees according to profile (internship or service civique) + contribution in kind : access to trainings organised in the MakeSense ecosystem, travels to participate to MakeSense events in Europe (SenseCamp)
