AXA Climate is looking for an intern who will support the team in modeling climate hazards with a focus on hail and convective storms over multiple geographical locations. In addition to this modeling aspect, the intern will help the underwriting and business development team in delivering weather-related insurance solutions for clients.
In partnership with the productand underwriting team, the intern will:
Contribute actively to scientific and technical developments(focus on convective storms)
- Develop statistical models for risk
- Explore and test other sources of meteorologic data : radar, satellite, new providers, etc.
- Identify key issues surrounding high frequency weather events and propose solutions
- Explain technical concepts and share modeling approaches with team
- Analyze partnerships with model and risk providers
Support the underwriting of parametric productsfor clients (all weather risks):
- Evaluate the risk
- Prepare technical elements for meetings with stakeholders and clients
- Support the development of new products with market studies
