The newly formed Information (and Data) Services Department is in need of your wizard-like skills…
The team’s vision is to be the small taskforce engineering team that adds the most business value in the shortest amount of time to our Customers (we have multiple types of customers).
Our mission is to impact all things customer - focusing on delivering a delightful customer experience while gathering the needed data to make continuous improvements. We are the ones that close the gap between our Tech and Business Team to resolve the needs that our users have that are not addressed directly by the platform.
This role will have a huge impact in the company. In a sense, it will be like joining a Startup inside a Startup.
The role will report directly to our CIO and is best performed from our Paris office [partial/occasional remote work possible].
What will I be doing?
Developing bridges and connections between our different plateforms, softwares, and tools where native connections do not exist.
Basically write custom code to connect APIs/Webhooks from/to our backend platform to our other services and tools - when possible via Zapier when not possible, your code wizardry will do the rest :)
Developing custom modules for our BACKEND.
Contributing to defining our APIs among other things.
You won’t be bored… ;)
What do we need from you?
You are capable of building out the many small iterative blocks that will let you build a large coherent, stable and over time complex structure.
A minimum of 4-5 years of full stack development as a software engineer is highly desirable, but if you’re a talented individual, let’s talk. We talk React on the Front end and Go on the Backend in these parts…
You have at least some experience with having independently developed applications starting with UI and ending on server-side and database implementation (not necessarily in this order)…
High quality, testable and documented code is your forté, but you’re occasionally happy to prototype hackathon-style (and clean-up afterwards)
Working with 3rd party systems, building integrations and/or plugins is something you’re not afraid of and even enjoy.
When it comes time to get your work deployed, we don’t have to teach you what CI, unit testing etc stands for right ?
You can gather requirements, plan your own work and propose software solutions to real-life problems.
You value documenting, communicating and collaborating in that order.
