Siklus is an early-stage start-up that aims to reduce plastic pollution at the source and make everyday necessities more affordable to low-income populations. We set up refill vending machines and mobile refill stations selling oil and home care products without packaging. Low-income customers can purchase small quantities of goods in reusable containers while paying a lower per-unit price due to reduced costs in distribution and packaging. We aim to become the next sustainable model of retail in Indonesia.
We tackle plastic pollution at the source. Instead of removing plastic from the ocean, we prevent it from entering our system. We will save 140M sachets from being produced and 35M from entering the ocean in the first 2 years of operation. Further, we offer a discount to our customers, making everyday necessities more affordable for low-income populations.
