About GROUPE SOS Pulse

GROUPE SOS Pulse (ex Le Comptoir De l’Innovation ) has been created in 2010, to finance and support social enterprises in France and throughout the world. Its main goal is to help social enterprises and organizations that want to get involved in social economy by using specific and efficient tools. GROUPE SOS Pulse has 4 main activities:
- Supporting social entrepreneurs, through an international network of incubators (France, Tunisia, Morocco,
Hong Kong, South Africa, etc.)
- Assessing social impact, through its proprietary tool
- Assisting social enterprises all along the fundraising process
- Promoting social entrepreneurship, through numerous events and lobbying activities organized in all of the countries where we are established

About our project in Cape Town
In South Africa Cape Town, two years after having run a first project successfully, we know aim to launch a new incubation program dedicated to social enterprises. This new incubation program must offer the possibility to entrepreneurs from all backgrounds to:
- structure and boost their projects,
- launch their enterprises,
- find viable business models to support their activities,
- understand how to measure their social/environmental impacts,
- create their Minimum Viable Products,
- prospects and obtain their first clients,
- get ready to fundraising sessions,
- get ready to scaling-up.

As Project/Country Manager you will be responsible for the development and management of this new program, in collaboration with our local strategic partners. Once the program set up, you will be assisted by a project coordinator and supported by our team in Paris to which you will have to report your activities on a regular basis. To succeed in this role you need to be autonomous and have a real entrepreneurial spirit, as well as excellent communication skills.

Main missions :
● Overall management of the program
➢ Design the content and schedule of the program (collective training, peer learning, on demand
assistance, inspiring sessions, networking events, etc.)
➢ Coordinate the division of labor between GROUPE SOS Pulse team and local partners
➢ Recruit incubation program’s participants (screening process for applications, jury, etc.)
➢ Evaluate the program (through questionnaire & interviews)
➢ Control expenditure within the agreed budget authorized by the sponsor

● Workshop facilitation & individual follow-up of the participants
➢ Facilitate all kind of interactions with incubatees (workshops, individual follow-up, etc.)
➢ Design and coordinate a program of speakers or external consultants on specific topics
➢ Organize regular meetings with incubates to follow-up on their projects, build a relationship of trustunderstand their needs, offer strategic coaching and connect them with relevant contacts
➢ Provide individual services on demand such as accounting, marketing, law consulting, etc.

● Business development and networking
➢ Establish and maintain effective working relationships with (potential) partners’ organizations
➢ Promote and foster a strong positive working relationship with other organizations across the sector
of social entrepreneurship, for further collaboration or invitation of speakers, experts, etc.
➢ Participate to networking events, conferences, talks, fairs etc. (that are mainly taking place outside
of office hours)
➢ Build a network of people and resources that you can activate effectively to serve the incubatees

● Reporting
➢ Report regularly to the partners and the GROUPE SOS Pulse team located in Paris
➢ Prepare the reporting to the sponsor (evaluation)
Education and experience
- Master’s degree (or above) in international business or project management,
- Relevant practical experience in socially-driven enterprises or workforce development programs,

- Fluent spoken in English and French
- Skills in Afrikaners is a strong asset
- Ability to solve problems and work independently, but also in team with partners
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to communicate with people from all walks of life and from different cultures
- Ability to speak in public, facilitate workshops and good teaching skills
- Interest and knowledge in entrepreneurship and social entrepreneurship
- High proficiency with IT applications such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
- Willingness to work outside of office hours (evening and weekends)
- Former experience in entrepreneurship is an asset
- Former experience with international donors and/or in a consulting agency is a plus
