MakeSense helps anyone have a positive impact on the causes they care about! For this we have various programs enabling any players to connect and benefit from the support of a global community:

  • Volunteers programs: we are a community of 3,000 volunteers who support social entrepreneurs in 100+ cities around the world. We do this online, through different support and training programs, and offline, through challenge-solving workshops, startup creation workshops, and other fun events! We pride ourselves in the awesome connections you make at MakeSense, and the incredible exchange of talents and skills going on in the community. In the past five years, MakeSense mobilized over 40,000 citizens to help 2,000 social entrepreneurs, all over the globe!

  • Incubation programs: We have a network of 3 incubators (France, Mexico, and Senegal) offering customized incubation programs for innovative social entrepreneurs, to help them launch or scale their startups. In 3 years, we accelerated the development of 200 social startups, and 94% of them continue to grow their local impact :)

  • Corporate programs: we get corporates on board to enable them to collaborate with local social entrepreneurs and support the scale of the most innovative solutions.

MakeSense has an international team of 70+ employees based in France, Mexico, Senegal, Lebanon, Peru, India, and the Philippines. We are constantly experimenting with new organizational models that put autonomy, responsibility, and kind-heartedness at the heart of everything we do.

In The Philippines, we are opening the first Asian MakeSense Academy: an in-person program to train and support early-stage social entrepreneurs launch their social startups. To implement, coordinate and facilitate our Philippines incubation programs, we are looking for a creative and passionate individual to become our Program Manager, and work hand-in-hand with the MakeSense Global Incubation team, as well as the local MakeSense Philippines’ Hub team.

Your role will be to develop and lead the MakeSense incubator in Manila and support the selected social entrepreneurs in the development of their projects.

After a thorough training at MakeSense Paris, you will fly to the Philippines to (with the support of MakeSense Philippines Director):

  1. Support the launching of the MakeSense Philippines incubator

  • Support  Philippines Country Manager on the sourcing of the most innovative projects who could benefit from the incubation program, and run the national call for projects

  • Construct, organize, and support the management of our coworking space in Manila

  • Source mentors and experts who could support the social startups

  • Organize promotional events and webinars

2) Design and lead the MakeSense incubation programs

  • Support the Philippines Country Manager on the design of the incubation program that will be offered to the selected startups during 9 months through MakeSense Academy

  • Realize the diagnostic of the needs and coordinate the support provided by the different partner-mentors to the incubated social entrepreneurs

  • Lead weekly operational meetings and monthly strategic follow-ups of the startups

  • Organize training sessions with experts

3) Build tools & methodologies to always adapt our support to the evolving needs of the entrepreneurs

  • Benchmark innovative tools and methodologies that could support our entrepreneurs

  • Build, improve, and test design thinking and lean startup tools and methodologies

  • Share your learnings, and new tools with the global incubation team to enable everybody to benefit from your creations

4) Facilitate a community of social entrepreneurs

  • Organize team building events enabling all the entrepreneurs to feel part of a united batch

  • Promote the incubated social entrepreneurs through open-to-all events, and media releases

5) Coordinate short incubation programs (time to time)

  • Support the Emergence Programs Manager in the design and facilitation of Hackathons & bootcamps

  • Facilitate short-term programs with our local partners

More than any specific skills, we are most of all looking for an individual passionate about -  and who believes in - the power of innovation, collective intelligence, and social entrepreneurship! However, there are other skills and qualities that we believe would make an extremely strong candidate and that we’ll be looking for:

🔬Mandatory skills we are looking for:

  • You love helping social entrepreneurs and are ready to put all your energy into the development of social startups

  • You have a good knowledge of lean startup and design thinking methodologies

  • You have at least 1+ year of experience in project management, strong organizational skills, and lots of autonomy

  • You are fluent both in English and French, and notions of Tagalog or any other Filipino language is an asset

  • You have an ability to work in an international team and a multicultural context

  • You don’t mind working with flexible hours: events happen in the evening or weekends, but on the flipside, you will be free to organize your schedule in a very independent, though responsible, way.
