Job description

We are looking for someone experienced in community management.  Someone that is the face of our Project for digital communications, managing them in both directions (off & on line) .  Someone who has a keen passion for and knowledge of social change, and has a deep interest in personal work.  We are looking for someone who is a native English speaker, and ideally proficient in at least two other languages, preferably French and Spanish.  Finally someone who is at the same time strongly entrepreneurial and collaborative.  

This is what the role’s responsibilities may include:

  1. Content creation – writing blog posts, articles, newsletters, communications materials, and material for social media channels expanding both shared and owned Brand content.

  2. Social media marketing – creating, managing and growing the company’s presence through blogs, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and other strategically relevant online properties

  3. Community relations – customer support – answering questions however they come in (phone, e-mail, Twitter) and managing any online feedback forums.

  4. Communications/marketing strategy –implementing the global strategic communications plan of The Wellbeing Project through social media.

  5. Analytics – Using Google Analytics and other measurement tools to provide reports on metrics, and continually find ways to improve on those metrics through testing and new initiatives.

The skills we are looking for our next Community Manager are the following:

  1. Writing skills – a background in journalism or experience with writing (native English speaker)

  1. Social media experience – experience with social media tools that also can navigate WordPress and understands Twitter and Facebook for business

  2. Interest and passionate about social sector  

  3. PR experience – having experience with public relations is a nice to have

  4. Culture fit – a good fit with our values and working culture at The Wellbeing Project

  5. Education – degree in journalism, communications or English, or someone with a PR or corporate communications certificate.

    • Salary is appropriate for the social sector.  Compensation also includes a stipend for personal wellbeing work.
