MakeSense allows anyone to have a positive impact as a community! We are a community of thousands of volunteers in 100 cities around the world, who support social entrepreneurs. We do this online through different support and training programs, and offline through challenge-solving, project-emergence, and fun workshops and events! We pride ourselves most in the awesome connections you make at MakeSense, and the incredible exchange of talent and skills going on in the community. In the last 5 years, MakeSense mobilised over 25,000 citizens to help 1,500 social entrepreneurs, all over the globe!

MakeSense is an international team composed of 70+ people based in France, Mexico, Senegal, Lebanon and Philippines. We always experiment on new organizationational models that put autonomy, responsibility and kindheartedness at the heart of everything we do. Impact is as at the center of everything we do and we love to continuously learn and share! As in our community, we turn everything challenge that we spot into collectively-built solutions!

Your role will be to highlight actions taken by our Community of active citizens. As part of the MakeSense team, you will be our story-teller.
With the help of Community Developers from the world, you will spot great stories of individuals, social entrepreneurs or mobilizations and will be able to share them with the rest of the community.
Your role will help to inspire people and enable them to take action.
You will work hand in hand with Community Developers for West Africa, MENA, South East Asia, South America; to build coherent messages to share the community activities. We are looking for someone passionate about social innovation, who will enable community members to connect and get involved online & in real life.

After a proper training, you will be in charge of:

> Sharing stories from the community 
- Supporting and promoting the community online via social media - Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat etc.
- Building coherent messages based on the community activities - from a local event, to mobilizations related to a specific topic (food security, waste, energy etc.), to a innovation from the community - you will offer legibility to the rest of the community
- You will be in charge of the editorial calendar of our social media
- Building our monthly newsletter to share news from the Community by using Mailchimp

> Equip the community with communication tools 

- Sharing and building communication tools for the community of volunteers: graphic design, infographics, videos etc.
- You will be in charge of the MakeSense main contact channels (public email, Facebook, Twitter, etc) and will transfer requests to the right persons in the organization

Who you are

You are convinced that citizen engagement can solve the most pressing social and environmental challenges of today
Social media are not new to you. You are a digital native and you believe that they can leverage positive action in the society
You love telling stories and you manage to build messages that are easy to understand
Adobe Photoshop is one of your best friends
You can handle simultaneous projects through good prioritization and proper planning
You like working with people online and master online tools
You are fluent in English & French

Recruitment process

Starting date : available ASAP
Salary : 650 euros
It is likely that this internship will to turn into a permanent role offer in our Communications Team
MakeSense innovative and impacting actions and methodologies have been awarded by governments, companies and university which will bring credit to your future career
You will be based @ the sensespace (MakeSense home) and daily work surrounded by social entrepreneurs, volunteers and passionated of social innovation !
