Interested in digital democracy? Skilled in web development? Looking for a paid short-term project with high social impact?

In 2017, the people of France will choose their next president. But what if they had better candidates to choose from? Democracy 2.1 (D21), a global non-profit transforming the way we vote, together with Paris-based think tank Synopia is seeking a web developer to code an interactive platform that will bring a new kind of presidential primary to France. This platform will create an innovative space for citizens to propose their own candidates, build their campaigns, exchange their opinions, and ultimately vote in a nationwide "citizens' primary". A design for the site is complete, and we're looking for a developer who can help us get it ready for launch by the end of February 2016.

Flat fee or monthly fee possible, with hours and terms to be negotiated. If you have talent and commitment, we’d be excited to welcome you on board. Flat fee or monthly fee possible, with hours and terms to be negotiated.
