We need your help to build our web-based cloud application, and roll out our first deployment in Niger. In close collaboration with and under the leadership of our CTO, you will be responsible for developing the software from end to end.
You like technology, and want to use your skills to make the world a better place for millions of people.
You have an engineering/computer science degree, or are a self-taught developer with a track record that you can show (github/stackoverflow, etc...).
You want to write code that makes you (and your mum) proud.
You’re fluent in Python, with several years of experience. You’re capable of designing parts of a backend application almost from scratch.
You’ve used Django or equivalent frameworks to build reasonably complex applications, APIs and web services.
You have a good understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, OSI model, etc…)
You don’t just write code, you write test suites and deployment scripts with ansible or similar
Low level embedded coding skills are a great bonus (C/C++/ASM)
Everything you do is documented and version controlled.
You learn fast, can work autonomously and are capable of managing other people to support a growing team
You are a team player with a good sense of humour.
