Transtec, in consortium with ICF (as leader), is shortlisted for the EU tender: “Methodological and knowledge sharing support to enhance capacities for quality and results in EU external assistance”.
The overall objective is to improve the quality and results of EU external assistance by providing EC staff in headquarters and EU Delegations with: (i) methodological support regarding the programming, design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of development actions; (ii) knowledge sharing support in the sectors of work of EuropeAid and on all aspects of development actions in terms of content and processes.
The start date is March 2015, for 12 months, renewable.
For this tender we are looking for:
Four full time equivalent junior knowledge sharing experts (Cat. B): They will support the work of the team leader and will be in charge of assisting the various units in the management of the methodological assignments, in the management and implementation of the trainings, and in the development of knowledge sharing activities (support to communities of practice on Capacity4dev, support to exchanges of good practices,…).
Master's degree in economics, law, international relations, development or equivalent
at least 3 years of successful experience in the management, development or support to knowledge sharing tools, methodologies and trainings in the field of development cooperation
at least 1 year of experience in one of the areas mentioned below
fluent in English and French.
Further experience in development cooperation in the field, with the EU institutions and/or on the latest knowledge sharing and training tools would be an asset.
The four knowledge sharing experts should cover, in a balanced way:
i. One of the Areas of expertise between Budget Support, Public Finance Management, and Public Policy Analysis;
ii. One of the Areas of expertise of Directorate C: Rural Development, Food Security and Nutrition, Climate Change, Green economy, the Environment, Natural Resources and Water, Private Sector Development, Trade and Regional Integration, Energy, Infrastructures and Networks, Innovative Financial Instruments.);
iii. One of the Areas of expertise of Directorate B: Governance (including the security and justice systems), Gender, Democracy and Human Rights, Civil Society and Local Authorities, Employment, Social Inclusion and Migration, Education, Health, Research and Culture
iv. One of the Areas of expertise between Capacity Development, Evaluation and Monitoring.
