Join us! We are an international group of international development professionals, building the world’s first online marketplace for tours that benefit communities. We are looking for country-based self-starters, bright and energetic Country and City Leaders to join our team.
You are the right candidate if you:
Are excited about innovation in the global social sector
Are familiar with your country’s nonprofit sector and wish to get to know it even better
Are enthusiastic about being part of an entrepreneurial team, are flexible and resourceful
See the potential in nonprofit visits to (1) enhance local economic and social development in your country and (2) create a better informed public discussion about the world’s most pressing needs
Have good writing and communication skills in English
What will you do?
You will be our representative in your country
You will be in charge of finding community-based nonprofit organizations in your country that offer visits to the general public, introducing them and onboarding them to visit.org
You will be in charge of finding photographers who can take professional-quality photos of participating organizations in your country for their profile page on visit.org
You will participate in the design of a new global “Ambassadors” program
What do we offer?
This is an unpaid position with potential to grow into a paid position. Can be counted as an internship for students. A small stipend for transportation and communication when needed. You will be a member of an international entrepreneurial team and be part of a growing network of Country and City Leaders around the world.
Depending on your country’s size, you will be appointed as a Country or City Leader. We work in developed and developing countries. Locations on our priority list: big cities in the US and Europe, Brazil, South Africa, Philippines, India. Other locations are welcome.
Timeline & Commitment: Commit to at least 3 months. 5-15 hours a week, depending on candidate capacity. Start anytime Summer or Fall 2014.
